As the world went into lockdown in 2020, Eli Hernandez found himself trapped at home like so many others - whirling away days gaming, devouring business and self development books, and feverishly researching get-rich-quick internet hustles. Initial schemes like drop shipping just didn’t unlock that burning entrepreneurial spark.

After finishing up a book on renowned Billionaire Steve Jobs, Eli was inspired to create something special. A simple doodle of an ice cream cone topped with a money bag while working on an e-commerce website unlocked something far deeper - our founders lifelong obsession with ice cream. More importantly, it tapped into the thrill of product obsession he experienced growing up, desperately chasing the latest sneakers drops and Apple releases.

Eli was shaped by two powerful forces: the obsessive perfectionism and fanatical culture of Apple that permeated his tech childhood, and a borderline-neurotic fixation on scrutinizing food labels to his parents. These opposing influences aimed him towards one ambitious pursuit - creating the most innovative, highest quality, meticulously-designed ice cream in the world.

Going through every book, video, and history on frozen desserts he could find, Eli converted his home kitchen into an R&D lab. Those first experiments gave name to “Billionaire Creamery” - reflecting both the decadent richness he sought and his lofty aspirations of building an iconic brand from these scrappy beginnings.

What started with a cheap ice cream maker gifted by his then-girlfriend and his first ingredients purchased through online grocery shopping by his pandemic frightened parents exploded into an unexpected pandemic passion project. Each morning he woke up with help from the household to churn fresh ice cream creations - wild flavor concepts in the form of ice cream sandwiches, packaged in signature money bags and personally delivered until nightfall from a dry ice filled cooler in the backseat of a car.

As buzz grew on social media, Eli realized he’d tapped into something special - people’s insatiable craving for joyful indulgence and spectacle amid dark times. With each new Flavor Drop, his skills were refined while upholding an unwavering commitment to using real, ethically-sourced ingredients while maintaining the nostalgic snack and cereal flavors he grew up enjoying.

After two years of mastering his craft, Eli set his sights on the ultimate ambition - elevating Billionaire Creamery into an innovative ice cream experience that brings hype and luxury to the dessert world.

Taking cues from product drops and exclusivity that powered the sneaker resale economy he was obsessed over, Billionaire Creamery has inspired a new model - delivering limited, indulgent flavor experiences on a weekly basis. Like the latest Yeezy or Air Jordan release, these decadent, avant-garde flavor creations generated serious buzz and lineups.

From those modest home kitchen beginnings through all the trials and errors, we’ve realized that the most innovative ideas often require wild pivots and unwavering resilience to fully flourish into pioneering the culture of hype in the frozen dessert space. That little ambitious quarantine dream has evolved into an indulgent reality that is truly just getting started.
